چکیده
Purpose This article considers how the evaluation of research teams can better account for challenges transdisciplinarity, including their larger team size and more diverse permeable membership, as well tensions between institutional pressures on individuals to publish goals. Design/methodology/approach An was retained from 2015 2020 conduct a comprehensive external five-year EPSCoR-funded program undertaken by transdisciplinary team. The formative portion involved monitoring program’s developmental progress, while summative tracked observable outputs outcomes evidence progress toward short- long-term systematically reviewed internal assessments gathered additional data an assessment via periodic participation in meetings, participant interviews online survey (starting Year 2). Findings Survey participants had understanding project’s “Goals Vision” compared other aspects. “Work Roles,” particularly timeliness decision-making, were perceived be “Big Problem,” specifically regard heavy travel key managers/leadership. For “Communication Channels,” 2 included differing views extent which management should collaborative versus “hierarchical.” These concerns about communication demonstrate that differences language, culture or status impact efficiency working relationship “Authorship Credit/Intellectual Property” raised most consistently each year area concern. Originality/value study involves use unique approach.

Interdisciplinary Team Science in Cell Biology.
The cell is complex. With its multitude of components, spatial-temporal character, and gene expression diversity, it is challenging to comprehend the cell as an integrated system and to develop models that predict its behaviors. I suggest an approach to address this issue, involving system level data analysis, large scale team science, and philanthropy.

Teamwork is the most effective approach in which to accomplish complex tasks. In general, teamwork has been shown to improve production, augment organizational and employee performance, increase job satisfaction, and enhance decision making. In health care, teamwork is of vital importance in order to maximize patient care delivery. Interdisciplinary teamwork is recommended as a comprehensive ap...
متن کاملTeam dynamics in virtual, partially distributed teams: Optimal role fulfillment
In this study, we explored team roles in virtual, partially distributed teams, or vPDTs (teams with at least one co-located subgroup and at least two subgroups that are geographically dispersed but that collaborate virtually). Past research on virtual teams emphasizes the importance of team dynamics. We argue that the following three roles are particularly important for high functioning virtual...
